Wile E. Coyote also known simply as Coyote is a Looney Tunes character. He was created by Chuck Jones, and had his first appearance in the short Fast and Furry-ous of 1949 along with his rival the Roadrunner a land bird that Coyote always tries to catch using all kinds of weapons and technology of the ACME brand but always fails. During his chases and attempts he always ends up being victim of the traps that he himself elaborates, although he never gives up and always continues trying.

This character was a mute until 1952 with Mel Blanc being his first voice in the Bugs Bunny and Wile E. shorts from 1952 to 1961.
