3D model description

In the early 20th century tree trunks and stumps were a popular grave marker sculpture form. They could be customized with accessories and imagery to give a visual shorthand about the person they were created for. In this case, a 9-year old girl, with her straw hat and footwear at the base of a young tree that has been cut before it achieved maturity.

3D printing settings

I uploaded a printable model of this. Look for the model labeled Braley tree stump (smoothed) and use that one. You can use the other for virtual environments but it'll likely need a lot of cleanup. The Braley version has a watertight mesh and has been discretely decimated. The important details like the hat, the boots, the tree rings and the inscriptions have been left alone to preserve them.
