3D model description

Case-Deflector for an AR-15 type rifle,

When on the shooting range there is nothing more irritating and annoying than being sprayed by brass from your neighbor rocking a semi-automatic rifle. Maybe you want to reload your ammo but all casings are deformed when you are able to find them across the room.
The solution for you could be this case-deflector to mount on your AR-15 type rifle.

+Case-deflection:
Unlike other solutions that completely block your view when mounted or that tend to cause malfunctions, this solution lets you check your chamber from behind your rifle while doing a press check, or if your gun range requires you to always show an empty chamber. Malfunctions like stovepipes can be cleared easily.
Regarding ejection, the angle of the ejected brass will be altered to the front of the rifle (90Β°) and downwards.
This results in two things:
-while shooting prone or from a bench your casings will land approximately 20cm to the right of your rifle on the bench, when using a bench with a soft cover the casings will pile up right beside you without alot of force.
-while shooting standing up casings land approximately 1-1,5m to the right of your gun with an downward angle and not enough force to irritate or annoy shooting neighbors.

+Mounting
The deflector is mounted on the top picatinny rail, to not interfere with optics like scopes or red dots the mounting point is located in front of the ejection port (as seen in the pictures above). The mounting system consist of two parts that are printed separately from the deflector body. Two screws clamp the parts onto the rail and two screws connect the mount to the main body.

+Easy print
The part is split into the main body and the mount, both parts can be printed without support.

+Rugged
The main body is designed rugged enough to withstand long shooting sessions, should something break, spare ejection bodies can be replaced easily by unscrewing the old part and installing a new one without taking the mount of your rifle at all.

I hope you like the design, share your thoughts and makes and happy shooting.
