3D model description

Phone case for the Samsung Galaxy S9.

Designed to be 3D printed using flexible filament such as TPU. The case needs to bend to get it onto the phone.

Derived from the SCAD file included in the original version by fpikus.

** UPDATED - v3.1: Added "mouse ears" to the corners to improve adhesion for printing with TPE filament, and corrected vertical placement of shapes cutting out the back holes. (v2.1 also includes this fix, but without the "mouse ears") **

UPDATED - v2 : Increased the size of the USB socket hole to fit larger USB plugs, and fine tuned the position of some of the other holes

Changes include:
- Definitions added for holes for the headphone socket, lower speaker, and lower & upper mic holes
+ the headphone socket hole is set to 6mm diameter for the headphone jack housing
+ the circular openings for the headphone socket and top/bottom mic holes have a "width" of 0, their diameter is controlled by the height parameter
- Additional configuration options for lateral and vertical offsets for holes in the top/bottom and the sides
+ note that the model is "centered", so lateral offsets are from the centre line of the face, and vertical offsets are relative to the middle of the sides.
- Vertically repositioned the holes for the USB socket and the buttons on the sides
+ the USB socket hole includes 2.5mm opening around the socket for the USB cable housing
- Support for beveling the openings (this uses the scale argument in linear_extrude to produce the bevel)
- Including "button cover" strips in openings over buttons
- Some of the constants were adjusted, including the corner radius, for a closer fit
- Vertical supports in the holes were removed from the model (it printed fine for me without any supports in the USB and headphone socket holes)
- Variable and comment updates to more clearly distinguish between the top and bottom "sides" and the front/back of the case
- addition of "mouse ears" at corners to provide improved adhesion for TPE filament

Modified using OpenSCAD 2015.03 and Microsoft Visual Studio Code on macOS Mojave.
