This ring is structurally inspired by the blueprint of all known life. DNA or Deoxyribonucleic Acid operates as the chemical and mechanical code which defines the highly specific yet diverse protein composition and lifecycle of every lifeform known to humankind. Framed by a pentagonal 'deoxyribose' backbone, a twisted ladder of base pairs spiral through space, coding the exact recipe for these organic, molecular machines we call proteins. DNA is, quite simply, the reason you exist.
