Description

A base for Hotwheels BMW M3 E46 from the Deutschland Design set.

The base is separated into 3 parts, BMW logo, the base and the back plate. The back plate is separated so it can be easily printed in multi colour.

Item used from Thingiverse

Nurburgring race map is probably from here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2858007

Print Settings

Nozzle size = 0.3 mm (minimum, smaller better)
Layer height = 0.2 mm

Filament change layer for colours on backplate:
1) Layer 19 (Race map, lap time and "M3" letters)
2) Layer 36 (M logo red stripe and "Nurburgring" lettering)
3) Layer 42 (Remaining 2 blue stripe on M logo, I use a permanent marker pen to colour it to dark blue)

Filament change layer for colours on BMW logo:
1) Layer 6 (For the first 2 quadrants, mine is in blue)
2) Layer 11 (For the other 2 quadrant and "BMW" lettering, mine is in white)

Colours

The colour of the BMW logo, back plate and the base is your choice.

BMW logo will need to be glued on by yourself.

Others

The transparent box I'm using to store the base and car in the first picture is bought from here: https://shopee.com.my/Tarmac-Work-Protector-tarmac-box-i.13932494.1598531194

The car is secured with wires as seen in the pictures above, just slide it in between the body and the wheels. The holes on the base plate is arranged to fit the Hotwheels BMW M3 E46 perfectly.

The lap time of 8 minutes and 22 seconds are found on Wikipedia.
