3D model description

Here's the second in the Autopod series - this time a very destructive Drilling Station for the Decepticons!

Similar to the earlier Autopod, this starts off as a compact and generic pod which opens up to become an evil energy extracting drilling station!

The downwards facing drill portion is set, ready to mine for minerals to convert into energy for the hungry Decepticons! To hold the platform steady, a pair of (also provided) short CyberTrack pillars can be slotted into the (now upside-down) lid piece.

For a little interactivity in the drill, an alternative handle piece can be used in conjunction with the drill with a notched shaft, so you can turn it by hand.

Using a 5mm rubber tubing, the drill module can be connected to the main body of the drilling station too. On the inside, displays and dials help in monitoring the extraction process.

When lowered, the side door reveals s CyberTrack section and this can be connected up to any other CyberBase Track pieces ( https://funbiestudios.com/model-catalog#cyberbase-tracks ).

From here, you can connect up to as many other WFC or TR compatible track or other bots to make up your own playset or display too!

This also works nicely as a re-fuelling pitstop for your Decepticon vehicles. As a bonus, the 5mm port on the side tab allows for the attachment of accessories!

This works well when connected with TR Trypticon, and since he uses the older TR connector pegs, just use the same from the CyberTrack system set and it notches in similarly to all CyberTrack pieces.

Converting this back into Pod mode, the Drilling Station would stow very nicely on the platform side of Trypticon in his flying base mode.

=== ASSEMBLY ===

Putting this together should be fairly straight forward, with all the joints to be connected using either segments of filament or 1.5mm metal rods.

Here's a video showing the Autopod's transformation - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMjZUWUIoBU

And there we have it - the second Autopod to land on the side of evil for now. Or actually, could be painted and done up differently for the Autobot side too, why not?

Happy 3d printing and adding this one to your collections then! =)
