3D model description

One half of an infinity cube (an infinity square if you would) designed to be easily customizable in Tinkercad or 3D builder. This model prints in place.

Also includes a version with cubic segments, and two example customizations: a simple cat, and the famous #3DBenchy

Please check your extrusion ratio before printing to avoid fusing the hinges into the rest of the print. If you wish to do a filament swap between the bottom and top of the model, do so at 10.1mm.

This model can be customized on three sides: Above, in front, and behind. Adventurous makers can also carve into the model. Please see the included image, it explains this better than words can. The top of the model is comprised of four 20mm square sections, with 2mm of space between them.

3D printing settings

Resolution: 0.2mm
Infill: 15%

Be sure your extrusion ratio is not too high, or the hinges will fuse with their sockets. Cheap filaments gave me problems with this print.

The print will most likely not articulate at first, applying light rotating pressure will fix this. You may also wish to clean inside the hinges with an X-ACTO knife or similarly sized blade, as stringing and debris can occur here. If printed right, the toy will quickly become less rigid with use.
