3D model description

This is for the #ANYCUBICGARDEN competition! It is a three part print that consists of a base to disperse the chosen bird feed, a middle to hold bird feed, and a top to keep the feed dry as well as to keep other critters out. My original thought was to design a bird house, but then it turned into a bird feeder and as Bob Ross once said, "we don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents" so I went with it. This model is designed to be hung with a single 0.20 inch diameter rope or a 0.1 inch rope fed twice (as seen in the printed picture) which is then tied below the base and on a tree limb or hook. Because the model is balanced, it should stabilize itself without needing extra support. To get the bird feed in the holder portion all you'll have to do is lift the lid and pour it in once the model is in the tree. When the feed is poured into the main holder, it will funnel down onto the base for the birds to access. Hope you love it as much as my grandma does!

3D printing settings

0.2 mm layer height for all three parts

20% infill minimum for all parts

20% support at 60 degree incline for the base and top worked wonders

I printed the base and top how they would normally look ad printed the middle without support, upside-down

May have to do some extra work to remove the support, but it is worth it I promise

This feeder is about 4 by 4 by 5.5 inches (length by width by height)

I used PETG for the parts and would suggest using a clear or translucent filament for the middle part if you want to see how much feed is left
