3D model description

This is a display I created for the "available for purchase" Power Plants used in the board game Power Grid.

The display is printed in 1 by 2 grids (which makes it easy to remove a grid for that point in the game when the number of Power Plants changes from 8 to 6).

Each 1 by 2 grid has 2 holes on the right and left sides that are intended for magnets (4mm wide by 2 mm high). I purchased these online at a cost of around 5 bucks for 100. Conversely, I have also included a file for a small cylinder that can be used in place of the magnets (though I highly recommend purchasing the magnets). The magnets/cylinders help to lock the grid together.

The grid can be laid flat on your gaming surface (very similar to how you likely currently display your Power Plants). Or, I have created a set of legs for each grid that plug into the backside along the top, which gives the display an incline of about 40 degrees.

Note: The ends of the legs may need to be sanded slightly (I wanted to ensure a snug fit since everyone's printers vary slightly).

You will need a printer that can accommodate at least 157mm.

3D printing settings

Your settings will vary depending on your specific PLA. Infill 20. Infill pattern Cubric. Print speed 80.

No supports needed.
