3D model description

Print in place star shaped box with pivot lid. I was playing around with a print in place pivot hinge and I caught a glimpse of Starro on YouTube. This was the result (minus the mind control tendencies).

Great for little things that need to be tucked away.

The star is about 98mm x 91mm and the box is 45mm high including the lid.

3D printing settings

Print this with box on it's side with the pivot at the bottom. The STL file should be oriented correctly.

This should be an easy print. I printed with a raft at a layer height of 0.3mm, 3 outer shells and 10% fill. But I kept the speed down a little at 60mm/s because I didn't want the pivot join to fuse together.

Print with raft if you don't want to worry about elephant feet fusing the lid and box together.
