3D model description

This is a derivative of the UEF Titan by ThoMasPaRk in the sketchup warehouse. http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=27221299fae7bfd09f47439175208c26&prevstart=0

This is the third model in the series so far. See the first two: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:15713
and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:15722

I'll probably hold off on more mechs till I get my grunts printable. I'm having a hard time finding models which print well on the sub 40mm scale and have a non mech appearance. Suggestions are welcome. After that it will probably be some steam punk accessories and melee weapons for these three unless I see another model I like enough.

It's a bit of a nightmare to get this one to slice correctly. It took me a few hours of tweaking the model to get him to come out right. These are the exact STLs I sliced with SFACT. Make sure to check them for hollow joints (the knees/feet kept being joined with nothing).

This model is a little more ambitious in the print then the other two and I don't think it's paying off.

I never tried to print this as a solid piece; there were just too many glitches in the model. I took it apart to get it sorted and I'm not planning on putting the fixed pieces back together in an STL

The model is 50mm tall

Update 1/16/12
I've added a bits kit to this and changed the main picture to the new one. If you're reading my other models you will have noted I'm making proxies for warmachine. He now has a double barrel cannon and a warhammer. This kit makes him a what-you-see-is-what-you-get compatible proxy for a charger.

Note: Warmachine and the related terms are property of privateer press. This model is not intended to actually look like or be the model they provide but is simply my proxy for it.

3D printing settings

I recommend SFACT to slice. Consider high infill on everything other then the torso as [less then] filled space came out visible on my test model.
