3D model description

I know, I know... it took me a while to finally come up with this.

I've been wanting to publish the .45 version of this box, since I've literally had hundreds of people asking me to do one. But I didn't want to just 'scale' and adjust one of the previous models, so I went ahead and completely redesigned it, adding a bunch of improvements based on my own experience and the feedback of some of the people who have been using these for a while.

Among others:
- I've added a 'stacking module' modification, which won't get in the way, and will help stack them neatly on top of each other.
- Redesigned and realigned the shell fitment.
- Ensured that all types of ammo will fit (FMJ, HP, RIP, etc.)
- Added 'grip features' along the entire side (both sides) of the lid.
- Re-designed the rail/fitting/locking mechanism.
- Made the 'front' narrower and therefore more filament-economic.
- Removed sharp edges to prevent snagging in ammo bags.
- Added a small 'test fitting print' to the model, so you can test how your rounds will fit before printing a whole base (I Recommend starting at 100%, then going up or down by 1% if you want a tighter/looser fit).
- Added 3 versions of lids, many people wanted a 'looser fit' while others wanted a REALLY TIGHT fit.

Thank you all for your patience and your support! - Please do provide me with your feedback!

3D printing settings

For the base:

No supports needed, print 'laying flat', 10-15% infill, 3 perimeters, 5 top and bottom layers.

For the lid:
No supports needed, print 'laying flat', 10-15% infill, 3 perimeters, 5 top and bottom layers.

NOTE: There are two schools of thought when it comes to 'how to print the lid. I have the best results printing them 'upright'. Due to the lid mechanism, printing upright will give you the most durability. Printing them 'flat on the bed' will give you more flexible yet durable parts. Again, depending on the filament you use. I suggest you try both :)
