Gear Accessory Collection 01

Gear Accessory Collection 01 3D print model

Description

Gear accessory collection, accurately modeled and ready for use in CAD and 3D print applications. Modeled in Autodesk Inventor and provided in multiple file formats (IPT/IAM, STP, SAT, IGS, and STL). Gears are constructed with modular geometry, allowing them to be combined in an endless variety of ways. Easily create complex power transmission systems that produce rotational motion, speed multipliers, and torque multipliers. Perfect for both digital and physical mechanical design projects.

Native Autodesk Inventor 2012 files are provided with intact browser trees and parameter tables to allow full configurability and customization.

Collection includes 3 gear systems:

  • Rack and pinion system
  • Bevel gear system (1:1 ratio)
  • Worm gear system (16:1 reduction ratio)

Collection includes 6 models:

  • Bevel gear, 16-tooth, round bore with keyway (1.00in pitch diameter, 25.4mm reference diameter)
  • Spur gear, 8-tooth, D-profile bore (0.50in pitch diameter, 12.7mm reference diameter)
  • Spur gear, 16-tooth, round bore with keyway (1.00in pitch diameter, 25.4mm reference diameter)
  • Gear rack, 16-tooth (4.00in (101.6mm) eye-to-eye distance)
  • Spacer, round bore (0.25in (6.35mm) face width)
  • Helical worm, D-profile bore (0.50in pitch diameter, 12.7mm reference diameter)

All gear tooth profiles are precisely modeled with accurate arc-based geometry and a small amount of backlash to ensure proper engagement.

All gears are provided with a diametrical pitch of 16 teeth/inch (module 1.6). All gear bores are designed for a 0.25in (6.35mm) nominal shaft size. Gears can be easily scaled to create any diametrical pitch or module that you may need.

The centerline distance between any two mating gears is ( First Gear Pitch Diameter + Second Gear Pitch Diameter ) / 2.

All models are provided in 5 file formats:

  • IPT/IAM (Autodesk Inventor 2012 format for CAD)
  • STP (general solid model format for CAD)
  • SAT (general solid model format for CAD)
  • IGS (general solid model format for CAD)
  • STL (general surface model format for 3D print)

Product also includes a Read Me text file (TXT format) detailing the physical dimensions of all gears.
