3D model description

This is a parametric OpenSCAD model, in which you can enter custom measurements to generate a perfectly-sized frame for any painting, photo, awards, as long as it fits in your 3D printer.

No glue or screws are needed. The frame fits together with corner dovetail joints.

Designed with a simple modern design, the printed frame should look identical to a store-brought frame if well printed. Attach a string between the clips to hang it on the wall.

Non-customizable designs often require some resizing to fit, and borders can end up with mismatched widths.

Common sizes (4, 6, 8 and 10 inches) are included as STL along with the customizable SCAD file. With the SCAD file, you are free to adjust the size as well as remove the mounting tabs.

A test_model option is included in the SCAD file to check that the corner joint works for the current print settings without using too much filament.

3D printing settings

Steps:
1) Download OpenSCAD
2) Measure and adjust model to fit
3) Press F6 to render
4) Export STL file and 3D print it!
