3D model description

Replacement for the Team Associated B74.1 front bumper. This one is just a hair bigger providing a little more protection for the arm mount A without giving up any ground clearance.

-05/31/22 Update.

The original design actually did little to protect the bottom of the A-Block and it was very easy to break upon impact. I modified the design to be stronger and have a small lip that protects the bottom of the A-Block.

The V2 Design provides much better protection and is much stronger. The one in the images is printed from nylon and has been on my B74.1 for about one month.

The biggest advantage is that this one can be printed for mere pennies, versus AE#92242 which has to be purchased with the battery mounts and costs $9.99 to replace.

The original screw needs to be replaced with an FHCS-M3x8.

3D printing settings

Easy print, prints without support. I used 4 perimeters, 5 top and bottom layers, and 30% infill since this part gets a lot of abuse.

This is best printed in a tough material that can handle impact. I print mine from Nylon, but a 98A shore TPU is probably also a good choice.

PetG, NGen, and ABS may also work haven't tried that. PLA is most likely too brittle for this to last.
