3D model description

Here's the Centurion Droid, stalwart defender of Vector Sigma from the good ol' days of Transformers' generation one!

Standing at around 18cm in height, this fun boy comes with 15 points of articulation and can posed pretty dynamically.

On his back, the droid sports a 5mm peg hole so here is what accessories, backpacks or effect parts can be attached.

A 3mm hole has also been designed into the waist piece, so the droid can be posed with any compatible display stand - making for more dynamic or flight poses.

And both feet sport a pair a 5mm ports each, again for the purpose of adding effect parts!

Here's how his size compares up to Prime right here, always a dangerous proposition given their directive for defense, but luckily with the key to Vector Sigma in hand, they can be made to stand down.

As a final little fun feature, the head "sphere" of the Centurion Droid can be removed, exposing a Titanmaster compatible peg inside. So peg in any titan master to give this droid a whole new look! Feels like an infiltration mission all ready to go down ...

=== ASSEMBLY ===

Here's a look at all the parts for this kit, with only one side of the Arm and Leg parts shown for better clarity:

This could be a little tricky to put together so here are some notes and tips which may help:

  • All required parts can be 3d printed. This means that the entire droid can be scaled up before printing, though this will chance the dimensions of the 3mm and 5mm peg holes.
  • All ball socket joints should be 3d printed horizontally for best strength. The same for the "Knee_Pin" part.
  • To tweak how tight the ball joints are, the joint pieces can be either scaled up or down slightly. Alternatively, a dab of superglue can be added to thicken joints where they need to be tightened.
  • The "Foot Peg" piece should be super glued into the "Lower_Leg" to secure it.

====

Given that these droids do appear in mass for defense, looking forward to seeing y'all print a whole bunch of this for your displays and collections! Happy 3d printing as always! =)
