3D model description

Updated: 06/03/2023: I've added a 92mm size for my wife's Subaru key. Changed the name from Key Cozy to Key Kozey just to confuse people. Just kidding.

The Key Kozy was made to cover your car keys in order to put your keys in your pockets without worrying about putting a hole in the bottom of your pockets. This does require a key ring. I recommend a 2" diameter ring or larger if adding a second or more cozy.

Simply bend the tip of the cozy back.

As for house keys, I'm working on it but my keys vary too much and will require a number of unique pieces.

While I'm not 100% satisfied with these (explained later) I'm probably not going to work on it any time soon. I've printed close to 30 of these with various designs. Each had some problem with them so I settled on this.

The top of the piece of the cozy was added to avoid the key from twisting away from the cozy should you put this in a loose pocket, such as a coat or purse. This is not a problem in a pant's pocket as the key and cozy are held together by pressure of the pocket.

As car keys are various lengths, of which I do not know how many different lengths there are it may or may not work with your keys.
My Toyota key is 95mm in length(the entire key) where as the valet key for a 2020 Subaru is only 82mm. That's all I could test with.

Simply let me know if you find that you like this and your key requires a change. I'll be glad to tweak it.

This has to be printed in TPU to be able to bend the cover tip back to insert your key.

If you have multiple keys then you are going to want a key ring of 1.5" or larger diameter. I recommend 2". Otherwise, you won't be able to place the keys back-to-back and you'll have something that may be too large for your likely. Maybe not.

I changed my ring to use these binder rings as I had quite a few laying around no longer used these days.

Ender 3V2 stock: Because of this it is a slow print (2-3 hours) as well as there is a lot of stringing. As you can see in the photos I didn't both to clean one of these up as much as the other.

TPU: 15mm/sec
Retraction 5mm/ 25mm/sec.
125% flow rate.
Bed temp: 55-60 (also used Elmer's Purple Stick Glue.
