Creality Ender 5 Plus Elecrow Touch Case 7 inch

Case for Elecrow 7 inch touch screen and mount on Creality Ender 5 Plus

Since I switched my Ender 5 Plus to a Raspberry Pi 4 with Repetier Server I got myself an Elecrow 7 Touch screen, with which I can manage all the data of my printer observe.

All files were created by me with Fusion 360.

Case:

The case of the display consists of 2 parts.

All cables (HDMI and USB) are housed in the case and lead out the back of the lower case.

The display is attached to the front case with 4 Spax 3x6mm screws.

To later attach the housing to the 45 degree bracket, insert 4 M5 x 10mm threaded screws into the lower part of the housing before closing it at the.

I additionally glued these screws in place with a soldering iron and some filament.

Front and rear housing parts are screwed together with 6 Spax screws 3x16mm.

45 degree bracket (foot):

The assembled housing can now be attached to the 45 degree bracket using the M5 threaded screws previously inserted.

The 45 degree bracket can now also be used as a "normal" foot (stand).

Attachment to the Ender 5 Plus:

To mount to the frame of the Ender 5 Plus, you need 4 threaded screws of size M4 x 20mm.

These are previously inserted at an angle into the guide rail of the Ender 5 Plus mounting frame with the head facing forward.

!!!There is no need to disassemble anything. Simply insert the heads of the screws into the guide at an oblique angle!!!

Now comes the most difficult and somewhat tricky part.

The screws must now be inserted through the 4 holes on the back of the 45 degree bracket and fastened in the bracket with M4 nuts.

I myself still wrapped the two connection cables (HDMI and USB) with a universal spiral hose. and laid this with cable ties on the mounting frame.
