The airlift draws water from the long chimney and expels it through the short stub. A hose can be attached here so that a significant amount of water can be pumped several 10 cm higher than the water surface. The deeper the airlift is attached below the water surface, the more and higher the water is pumped.

A skimmer (e.g. see https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5164329 ) is installed in the long chimney.

As no mechanical pump swirls the water, the pump is safe for small creatures (e.g. shrimps)

(At least one) air pump is required for the air flow. If necessary, close the second air adapter.
