3D model description

Puzzles for Cartographers board game.

I love Cartographers, I play it a lot, 100 map sheets is not enough. I'm anxious, I have no patience to draw beautiful maps and sometimes I change my mind - then erasing is unpleasant. So I have designed puzzles.

The set contains: 8 types of puzzles (forest, village, farm, water, monster, mountain, wastelands and ruins), a board and an organizer. And a so so simple coin.

PUZZLES: Each puzzle has the same layout - a square 12.6 x 12.6 mm - and height - 12 mm. It is big enough to be easily manipulated and small enough to fit a distant board (not bigger than my Prusa bed size). The puzzles are distinguished by reliefs (and by color - when you print it with different filaments). Reliefs are related to the type of terrain (or creature).
All puzzles fit sections in the board very well - they stuck nicely, but they are also easy to remove (after the play, you can just roll the board over).
There are also ruins - they're kind of a frame. They are rather ugly, but I couldn't decide how to make them look better. They fit rows between sections for puzzles. I've made them as thin as possible, so the board wouldn't be oversized. There's one more thing - if you use on-line Map Generator, sometimes you get ruins close to one another. Here you can't do it.

BOARD: The board has 11 x 11 sections as on the map in Cartographers. There are rows between these sections, that allows you to place ruins. You can place mountains, ruins and wastelands however you like for the game set up. It's very easy to "generate" different maps.

ORGANIZER: The organizer has 7 sections to accommodate all puzzles (and coins!). All sections have rounded bottom to facilitate item draw. It is high enough to accommodate 48 puzzles of each (main) terrain kind (forest, village, farm and water). In 3 smaller sections are kept: 1 - monster, 2 - mountain, wastelands and ruins, 3 - coins.
The organizer is adjusted to the board, so it can function as a slide lid. A recess is provided to facilitate opening the box.

The set doesn't fit the game box at all! ;) Instead it provide quick game setup. Arranging the puzzles is funny in a different way than drawing maps. You still need some paper to write down the score.

3D printing settings

All items were 3Dprinted on Prusa MK3:
- in PLA,
- No support is needed,
- Infill 10-15% rectilinear,
- with brim.

Note1: I use slightly changed default Print settings "0.15mm SPEED MK3" in PrusaSlicer.
Note2: Puzzles infill - 15%.
Note3: Place ruins upside down before slicing to avoid supports.
Note3: The layer height for organizer was set to 0.2mm to speed up the print.
Note4: The main puzzles were printed three times x16. I'm always worried that something might go wrong with the multiple print, so I prefer to print not too many items at once.
Note5: The organizer size: 192 x 192 x 30 mm.

The set for one player contains:
1 organizer,
1 lid,
48 forest puzzles,
48 village puzzles,
48 farm puzzles,
48 water puzzles,
24 monster puzzles,
5 mountain puzzles,
7 wastelands puzzles,
6 ruins frames,
14 coins.

Printing Time:
6h46' - board
12h 51' - organizer
2h10' - puzzle x16 (forest, village, farm, water)
47' - mountain x5
1h21' - monster x12
43' - ruins x6
1h - wastelands x7
28' - coin x14
