3D model description

Matte in the shape of a drum drum, inspired by Pearl drums, but you can stick any name/brand below, as there is space between the "drumhead" and the rim.

The body is intended to be printed on a dual extruder or dual color printer (I printed it on a Hellbot Hidra), but I'm also including a version that comes out in a single color for anyone who wants to paint it instead of printing it in two colors ("Simple Bombo Matte").

It was originally designed as a gift for "Juampi" (drummer of my band), and that's why the inscription in the photo, but as I said, the inscription can be any as long as it's 0.4mm thick. I recommend gluing it with silicone or other non-corrosive glue; the droplet leaves it very stained to the PLA.

EDIT 10/7/23: added "Polymer Drum Matte" version, which is designed for 55mm ID x 75mm high polymer with 85mm diameter head.

3D printing settings

The black part that acts as a patch ("Mate bombo petg"), has to be printed on PETg, as it will be in contact with the mate.

Can it be printed in PLA? Maybe yes, but I didn't try it and wouldn't recommend it.
