3D model description

This is an old model. For newest adapters, please visit https://solidslime.net

Update: The paddle position has been added to Eleven Table Tennis! If you are using Oculus Quest 1, just create a paddle position preset and select "SolidSlime", and the in-game paddle will be in the ~~correct~~ almost correct position. (Note: that one is still a little misaligned to one side right now, so please try downloading these paddle positions via settings->tree->settings on cloud->paddle settings: 4484.4 by Hobbes(fr), or 9225.2 from Herya)

Update 2: I have upgraded to Quest 2 and sent my Quest 1 away, so this is likely the last update of this model. Thanks for the appreciation. Feel free to check out my Quest 2 6.5mm adapter remix, and other remixes that can be found on Eleven Table Tennis discord server <3

Update 3: Discord user "Herya" improved the velcro limiter. Thanks Herya!

This is a remix of Sanlaki's awesome paddle / racket / adapter:

This is a table tennis paddle for Oculus Quest 1 / Rift S.
I've been using it in Eleven Table Tennis, but it should also work for any VR table tennis game that supports customized paddle orientation.

There're holes where you can use a 20cm*2cm velcro strip to secure the controller.

Some highlights:
* The controller is oriented horizontally, which greatly improves the tracking quality, and lowers the center of weight.
* The "gap" in the middle of the top part is filled flat, so that the thumb can press onto it. This is especially useful for common backhand grip.

There're three variations:
* 1cm single piece (should work for most people):
Print "RIGHT_Q1_single_piece_SolidSlime_1.3.stl", with support.
* 1cm blade:
Print "RIGHT_Q1_grip_SolidSlime.stl" and "RIGHT_Q1_top_SolidSlime.stl".
Insert the top into the grip carefully (a little glue is recommended).
* 65mm blade (for people aiming for a feeling more similar to real life paddle):
Print "RIGHT_Q1_65mm_blade_SolidSlime.stl", with support.
Cut two pieces of table tennis rubber and glue them onto the finished print, where your fingers would press.

Printing tips:
* It's recommended to print with 2 or 3 shells and 10-15% infilled.
* The target weight (without controller) is about 45g. Combined with controller and Velcro strap it should be around 180g, which is roughly the weight of a real life paddle.
* The STLs are for right hand users. If you use left hand, mirror them in slicer before printing.

If you have any improvement ideas, please let me know in the comment, or even better, join discord and drop me a message!

Acknowledgements:
* Great thanks to the users on official Eleven Table Tennis discord server, especially @Soulnight and @Sanlaki_Lerrick and many others who kept the evolution of the paddle forward.
