3D model description

Last of the V8s. Ford Falcon V8 interceptor with Wieland Supercharger and ground effects package. Body is suitable for 1-10 ish scale rc cars.

The wheelbase is 270mm and the overall width is 220mm. Scale it to your needs with a ratio calculation, however with thin walls it won't be printable if you go too far and make sure that you apply the same percentage change to all parts along the same axis.

The struggle is real on designing this one. Trying to maintain detail while keeping the walls thin and of course having it easily printable. This one needed to be perfectly manifold so that it can be resized easily by anyone to fit their chassis. It should use under 2/3 of a spool of filament including supports.

Print orientations shown in pictures. 2 walls.

If you figure out the dimensions of your chassis you can calculate the % to stretch the parts. If your width is W (in millimeters) and your Length center wheel to center wheel is L (in millimeters) then...

W divided by 220 times 100 and L divided by 270 times 100 will tell you what two percentages you have to adapt the body by for your chassis. If you try to fit this on a really small RC chassis then you run the risk of having the walls too thin to be printed. The walls are designed to be about 1.2 mm at present scale. Most printers won't like anything below 0.8 mm.
