3D model description

A concept for utilizing a simple compressed-gas duster as a low-powered but functional keychain-sized airsoft gun, which fires up to five 6mm plastic BB's in full-auto, requires zero moving parts, is very easy to use, quick to set up, and prints in less than an hour.

It's designed to attach to a piece of 5/16" OD aluminum tubing, which functions as a barrel, and the red straw off of a generic canned air duster to provide the pressure to fire.

You can print your own barrel if you like as well. I may add a printable barrel in the future.

While not truly "Safe" in the hands of a professional idiot (Or a child), it fires at a much lower velocity than traditional airsoft guns.

This "Gun" uses the Venturi Effect (Caused by the gas from the air duster flowing from the narrow internal nozzle into the larger barrel) to create a vacuum in the vertical ammo tube and "Suck" BB's into the barrel, making it much more reliable than a gravity feed alone.
Air flows past the BB's in the ammo tube (It's a loose fit to avoid jams) and into the barrel to boost overall airflow.

The airflow is further boosted by the three small holes behind the ammo tube to increase the velocity of the BB's as they exit.

At the moment, the design still has a couple of kinks to be worked out; after two BB's are fired, a back-pressure forms in the ammo tube that blows out any remaining BB's. This can be resolved by simply placing a finger over the ammo tube when firing.
I'll update the design once I figure out a solution.

I'm also considering a more dangerous version that utilizes the output of an air compressor, a larger ammo tube (Or even support for plastic tubing for "Chain Ammo"), and perhaps provisions for mounting to make an automated airsoft defense system.

Did you actually give this Thing a try? If so, PLEASE post a Make! Makes are a useful way for me to see how my designs are actually being used, so I can see any potential design flaws, and in turn improve the design, as well as future designs!
