Behold Thetis, daughter of Nereus !
A couple of months ago I swapped the Robin Nano board of my Nereus for a Gen L and got a bigger mosfet. I also change the (very good) Titan extruder for a BMG clone. The Nano and the Titan were however perfectly working ! Besides, I had a couple of ATX PSU in a corner... So I bought some additional part, printed a fair amount of parts as well, scavenged some aluminium profiles of uncertain origin (curtains ? door rails ?) and after quite a lot of tries and fails I finally got an operational DIY 3D printer.

UPDATE 04/11/2019: added bed plate and bed arms to fit with linear rails. You'll have to mirror the bed arm and print 2 of each to get the bed completed.

Specs are as following:

PSU: 300 W ATX
Board: Robin Nano
Frame: Aluminium profiles with dual Z mount (one single motor) and
Hot end: Direct drive Titan extruder with E3D clone (PTFE lining). The E3D clone I have does not fit perfectly in the TEVO Titan clone but it does the job.
Build volume: 400 X 400 X 500 !
Heat Bed: 400X400 silicon AC heated pad with SSR.
Print Surface: 4mm glass. Tension with ABS corner brackets. Isolated with 6mm corkwood plate.

Since I used left over aluminium profiles the parts are highly specific of those. Still they might be of help for similar project.

The parts linked to the current project were designed out of scratch. Other ones were inspired/remixed from other makers.

PSU case: 4 different parts, should be pretty straight forward. In addition I drilled two M10 holes on the back for the wiring. There is a notch to fit in the SSR. Top cover is a lithophane-like of an antique picture of Thetis :)

X-Axis: Carriage could be lighter I think. The motor shape file was designed to cover the drill holes because in the first place I thought about belt tension adjustement from the motor side. Y-Axis: Motor mount and Idle Mount are also remixes of the Green Mamba project.

Z-Axis: Nuts to hold the frame brace are from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2668969. Pulley tensioner is from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2628377.

Hot end: Adapted from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3329923.

Cable guide: I designed the first rigid section. The cable chain itself was from: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2920060

Bed Plate: I added two versions, one full version and another shell version. I strongly advise not to print in ABS (way too flexible). You might also need to play around with the horizontal expansion parameter. Levelling wheels are similar to stock Nereus ones: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3459207. I printed the plate brackets in ABS since I plane to heat the bed up to 120 Β°C. Another cable chain is used here to releave some stress on the AC powered heat bed.

Still a work in progress, I might go for linear rails on the Y-axis and install a BLTouch. It ain't much, but it's honest work :)
