3D model description

I wanted to make a Launch Controller for model rockets with a bit more power than the generic 6v Estes so i could launch rockets with multiple engines etc. It took be a bit of trial and error and multiple revisions until i got a layout that was functional and fun to use.

Theres just something about turning a key and a series of switches that makes launching model rockets a bit more fun. The Container box is modified from another thingi (i just went through a couple hundred pages trying to find it to properly flag it as a remix, so i will edit this once i find that Item). I modified the container box itself by making a couple of holes in specific locations and notched out the lid portion to ensure clearance of the Components box.

The Components box i made from scratch. initially i made it to fit a 4 pack of 18650 batteries but decided to throttle it back to 3 so i could run my 12v LED's without resistors to simplify things a bit. There is a recessed portion to mount a couple of banana wire connectors so that they don't protrude outside the box so that the components box could easily slide inside of the Container box. The battery compartment has multiple openings in it so you can decide how you want to run the wires into the box. I put a couple of notches sticking up so that the speaker could easily be glued in place or even set in place. Theres a decent amount of room in the box for wiring.

Components List:
Key Switch: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FS2Q931
Buzzer Alarm/Speaker: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075PT19J2
Metal 5mm LED mount: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D9JL55L
4mm Banana Female Connectors: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D52R7TL
DC Gauge: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D1QNH6G
Wire i used to run to ignitor: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RV6Q7ND
Alligator Clips: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KZWB333
LED Latching Switch (arming switch): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HYVFR2R
i used 3.5mm banana male tips from this kit: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PKSTWWM (i had laying around, instead of buying 4mm ones, they fit nicely, not too snug)
Momentary Switch: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09KV79XJL
12v LED's: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08G4X23BR

A lot of these pieces could potentially be interchanged with components you have laying around at home. If you wanted to make your own changes, here is a link to the tinkercad files: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/jjKy0cut8SM-launcher-box as if have it set to public.

I did design this to easily print on my Photon Mono X, so if you have a build plate of 192x120 or larger, you can easily print all of these pieces without having to stand on their edges and use supports. ( i only used supports on the Launcher-Container-Box)
