The fast slide holder allows slides to be inserted and removed continuously in the scanner. This saves time and improves productivity. This tool will quickly become indispensable if you have many slides to scan.

Why replace the original film holder?

When I acquired a Plustek 8200i scanner, I immediately noticed that the slide holder supplied with the device was inconvenient to use, and rather poorly designed.

The Plustek slide holder holds 4 slides, and has to be removed from the camera and opened to hold the next 4 slides. The original accessory must also be moved and positioned opposite each view to be scanned. All these repeated manipulations can cause premature wear or breakage of equipment.

Once placed in the scanner's hatch, the quick-view holder doesn't move for the duration of the job. The slides of the quick-view holder are designed to keep the slides at the right distance from the sensor. Simply insert and slide the slides in one by one, from the right-hand side. Digitized slides are retrieved from the left-hand side. Slide centering is automatic when the film holder contains 3 slides.

The quick-change holder is suitable for all types of slides with cardboard, plastic or glass covers up to 2mm thick.

NOTE: The slide holder must be inserted into the scanner through the right-hand hatch. The slide inlet is identified by rounded shapes. These rounded shapes must be placed on the right.

The quick-change holder measures 190x65x6 mm. It prints easily on a printer with a 200mm-wide platen or wider.

It's important to print the media below the slides.
