3D model description

This steel beast was a prototype tank designed by Krupp during the second world war. Its design started during 1941 and was discarded in 1942 to redirect resources to the panzer Maus project. There were 2 variants for the tank: Leichter Löwe/VK 70.01 and Schwerer Löwe/VK 72.01, with differences in their armor and top speed. The tank was planned to fire multiple types of cannons, mainly a powerful 10.5 cm L/70 gun with one machinegun as secondary armament.

The model was made by using blender, counts with 1.670.447 polygons and 14 PBR materials varying from 1K to 4K resolutions. It can be considered as one of the most realistic models avalible, made from original WW2 german technical drawings. Since there is no infomation about the real looking of the tank, the design counts with some parts made from modified german designs of the Tiger II and tried to approach to german tank building philosophy. The model is great for close rendering, simulations, videogames and 3D printing.
