3D model description

When fishing for species like mackerel, flatfish and others, there is a significant amount of by catch in my area of the Greater Weever which has some nasty venomous spines on it. It's a great fish for eating, once you handled it safely.

You can buy pliers for eel, but in my opinion they are two small, especially when I catch the larger Greater Weever (+35cm). Then I prefer to have my fingers further away from the nasty spines.

This also works for Signal Crayfish.

The jaws on this 3D print is actually 1/3 of a gear (Modulus 2.5 with sharper angle than normal)

There are 2 versions
1. Plier with a flexible top (TPU) that holds the two part together
2. Plier with nut that screws the 2 part together and hold them.
Both work, I prefer the TPU version

3D printing settings

High infill ratio, more than 75% to get the needed strength
No support needed.
Print first layer slowly, to get the teeth in the jaws right
