3D model description

This is a Fully 3d printed fishing rod, The reel has a casting mecanism that allows you to disconnect the "line reel" from the Gears wich allows you to throw out the lure/bait. The reel also has a 1-2 gearing ratio so for evey rotation of the handle the wheel with the line does 2 rotations.
The rod does not use any screw or nuts and can even be used without adding any glue (tho glue for the rod connections is recommended).

The bendeble part of the rod is printed in 3 pices and is then pressfit togther (I recormend useing a little bit of super glue on thise connections).
3 eyes for the guiding the line, thise should be placed over where the rod is pressfit toghter.

The handle is printed in one pice and the bendeble part of the rod is pressfit into the handle (i recormend a little super glue here aswell).

The reel is printed in 5 pices :
The 2 halfs of the outer reel caseing and 2 Geared rolles ( one for the line and one for the handle) This gives the reel a 1-2 gearing so for evey rotation of the handle the line roller does 2 rotations.
And then the spinning handle.

The reel is held together by the handle by inserting it into the groove in the handle. A 2 pice friction rod is then inserted into the groove, and the whole assembly is then held togther by a threaded cap at the end of the handle, tightening the whole thing up.

When the reel is assembled i recormend spraying some wd 40 or adding some oil to the gears and the insides of the reel caseings, this will let the action be very smooth.

Reel on some line and you are Ready to go!

I have also added a 2 pice fishing lure that uses steal thread/wire for connecting the hooks, so that u dont end up looseing any fish from the plastin og the lure cracking. All you will need is some simple steal thread.
The lure has grooves in the middle where u will run the steal wire and then you make a loop at each of the hook wholes.

3D printing settings

Fishing rod:
Print eveything useing 0,2 mm layer height and 20% infill.
Rod tip - rod middle and rod buttom needs to have 100% infill.
i Have added pictures of how you should orientate the printed parts and where you will need to add support.
1. picture is of the parts that dont need support and their orientation.
2. pircture is of the part that need support and their orentation.

Due to the fact that some printes has diffrend tolerances then others, i have made the disconnect mecanism a bit to tight, so that you can fine adjust it useing a small file.

Lure:
I recorment useing 10-5 % infill as the lure has a spoon that makes is dive, you dont want to much infill as it might get to heavey and stay a the buttom, as the spoon also will do the diveing part for you.
