3D model description

Finally, I was able to get my hands on an oem original SPIM08HP cell holders that comply with all specs and requirements of these cells. Since I was now able take some decent measurements, I am sharing these mounts as they are much better to use than anything else i have found and tried so far for my collection of SPIM08HP Lithium Cells!

Features of these holders:

  • Terminals are lined up for bus bar design
  • Stackable with Alignment Pins or Without *
  • Packs are compressed slightly when using solid end stops
  • Air vent channeling for the front and back of each cell
  • Easy to Secure Cells in pack configuration

One of the other main issues with using SPIM08HP cells is that they need to be slightly compressed after assembly in pack before being put to use, as I have learned if you want them last with high AMP demands on them :). These holders solve those issues as long as hdpe or some other non conductive end plates are used; to apply even pressure across all cells.
I will post more photos as they become available to better illustrate this.

You can also use threaded rod to secure all 4 corners of pack or build into another fixture to secure, either way I hope everyone enjoys and I will be making updates as I print and test more for pack assembly of hundreds of cells :)

Oh, one more thing; I am finishing up connection bus bars for parallel and serial cell connections with these holders too. Once these are also completed, well test fitted anyways lol, I will also post here for a complete design we are using with these cells.
Thanks to all for the great designs I have been so fortunate to find here :)

---Updated 6/25/20 - Mount Pins are now in correct locations, size and etc with the OEM versions. I am testing different ways to work with the locator pin dowels as it makes printing these a real pain with the supports and etc. Any suggestions besides leave the pins out?
