ATTENTION!

THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE GIMBAL, ONLY A MOD.

YOU NEED PARTS FROM THE ORIGINAL GIMBAL.

This mod is only the grey parts on the picture. Yellow (tilt assembly) and some internal gears you need to borrow from the original gimbal.


This is a low profile variant of the pan assembly for Micro Camera Gimbal.
The variant is designed for flying wings where the original gimbal may be hard to mount due to its total height.
Here, we trade length of the gimbal for height by placing pan servo upside down and behind the camera.

Note: You still need some space under the gimbal for camera and tilt servo wires, mind this while mounting the gimbal on your model.

Dimensions

Fully assembled gimbal (LxWxH): 79x44x47.5mm

Assembly

You'll need tilt assembly from original gimbal, plus Pan Small and Pan Large gears.

Consult pictures in "media" folder for assembly clues.

3D printing settings

Nozzle: 0.2, 0.25, 0.3 (0.4 is possible but not recommended)
Layer height: 0.1mm
Supports: yes, for the Center gear
Material: PLA

Please use 0.2/0.25/0.3 nozzle and 0.1 layer height.
For best results, calibrate your printer extruder and print a calibration cube to ensure dimensional accuracy before printing gimbal parts.
