3D model description

Here I exhibit my wind spinner Dancing Couple. I have always been fascinated by sculptures of dancing figures, and now finally I have developed a small model that spins in circles as a wind spinner. Its two bodies are bent against each other and so they catch the wind which makes them circle gracefully around each other. In the Utube video you can see some of these figures action:

You can scale the piece according to your printing capabilities, then paint, varnish or gild it and get very beautiful moving objects for your home or garden. It is best to hang the wind chime on a nylon thread, for example on a fishing line. This is very stable.
The design is provided with a central blind hole at the bottom, so you can attach the piece to a 2 mm - rod and so you can color, spray or paint it well.

I created 2 STL files. One with the pure object, and one with a pre-made support. These work very well for me for both FDM and resin printing. PLA or standard resins are suitable for printing. The spinner is about 18 cm tall, but you can of course scale it to your liking.

For FDM:
Layer thickness: 0.1 mm, (little rework, good surface and less grinding required.)
Printing temperature 200 Β°

Print bed temperature of 60 Β°
Printing speed: 70 mm
Speed outer wall: 20 mm
Flow: 100%
Wall thickness 3mm
Printing plate adhesion Brim / 15 mm wide
Filling 20% / triangles
Please make sure that the bed adhesion is good. On the finished model, simply remove the support rods and sand off the residue.
The settings for resin printing depend on the properties of your printer. Standard resins are suitable.
I have 2 printers in operation:
For FDM: Ultimaker 3 Extended (PLA works very well here),
and for resin: Phrozen Transform Fast.
Both are excellent devices.
