3D model description

A set printable .STL files for 3D-printing the Arc Generator as seen in the movie 'District 9'.

Modelled by myself during 2019-2020

I have spent many hours to get it as close to the actual movie prop as I could by looking at as many reference photos I could find.
Included you'll find the .STL's, a decal sheet in vectorized format for decal application after paint and a set of instruction on how to put the parts together after printing.

For the best result, the smaller detailed parts should be printed using a resin printer such as DLP or SLS. That said, a fine tuned FDM printer with a smaller nozzle will also manage to print all parts.
I have spent many hours testprinting and redesigning the part-splits to reach an optimal function with as little hiding-the-seam-work as possible. The parts are fixed together either using glue, screws or both.

The biggest part needs at least a printbed of 200(X) x 200(Y) x 250(Z)

Dimensions of completed prop is approx (w*h*l) 100 x 360 x 1050mm.
