3D model description

This planter can suspend small plants (mainly air plants) and looks great on a desk or as a home decor. The space for the plant is 17mm (3/4") deep and has a diameter of 30mm (1 1/4"). The total height depends on how you set up the strings but the one in the images 100mm (4") tall and the length from end to end is 120mm (5"). To set up, insert the pins from the base into the holes of the arc piece. Then link the base part to the top part by connecting the other arc to the top piece in the same way. The arc pieces may need to be glued to the top and bottom structure. Then string together the middle holes followed by the outside holes. I found it was easiest to do the string across from each other first.

3D printing settings

I 3d print my tensegrity planter with regular SUNLU PLA. I print the arc pieces on their side to minimize support structure and used supports on the top piece.
