3D model description

Accurate 3D model of the lamniform shark Otodus obliquus from the eocene periods. These enormous mako sharks appeared shortly after the extiction of the dinosaurs. Their teeth where massive, sharp triangles with characteristics tiny cusps on each side. Over time, the teeth of the otodus sharks evolved serrations with nuerous intermediate specimens known. The evolutionary process from sharp edges to serrated edges is extremely well documented and occurs at the same time as the earliest sea mammals appear. This 1/72 scale model represents a near maximum sized indvidual at 11 meters long. Its fossil teeth are very common and can be bought cheaply in most fossil stores. This model is presupported and designed for printing on FDM machines at 0.05 to 0.1 mm layer heights. Uses the medium display base.
