Castle Dice Box / Plus 1 Counter Box for Magic: The Gathering and Other Tabletop Games (Supportless)

This is an octagonal medieval castle-themed dice box that holds 48 dice and has a center chamber with a threaded cap.

The (8) outside tracks each hold 6 standard 16mm 6-sided dice comfortably, even those with fairly sub-par manufacturing tolerances. The angle at which they peek out allows them to be easily slid out of their tracks without having to turn the box over.

The center chamber is 50mm in diameter and allows for the storage of life counters, other non-D6 dice, coins, and many other tabletop game pieces. To easily access the center chamber’s contents without having to dump all of the dice around the outside, simply use the cover (shown in blue) over the dice tracks and dump out the center chamber!

This model is fairly easy to print and designed in such a way that it’s pretty forgiving in terms of what settings you use. Your standard settings for pretty much any printer will do just fine and the model is designed in such a way that support isn’t ever needed, just print each piece in the orientation shown in the render with all pieces laying flat separately.

The print shown in the images was printed at 0.16mm layer height with Hatchbox PLA. Thinner layers like this will give you the best results with the brick texture, but even up to 0.24mm or thicker will print just fine and still look great (I’m sure it can be printed with much faster settings with great results, but that’s as much as I’ve tested).
