3D model description

This is a filament spooler that is adjustable for width to hold varying sizes of filament (max spool width approximately 2.75" or 70mm). It will accommodate varying spool diameters as well, from 6" to 8". This spool holder mounts directly onto the Raise3D N2 frame in the filament storage area and will fit into either the left or tight lower spool bracket mounting hole. The screw adjusts the width of the bracket to fit whatever spool is in it at the time, and it is designed such that the side door can still close with the filament installed. I did not design a solution for a second filament spool because I rarely do dual extrusion.

You will need 4 8mm ID ball bearings with 22m OD, approximately 8mm wide. I used roller skate bearings, which worked perfectly. Just affix them to the posts with some superglue.

Also, for seating the adjustment screw, you will need a 1/4" flanged bearing. I used this one: https://www.mcmaster.com/#57155k336/=1cs6ocq
The screw post just holds in place in the bearing with friction, but you could glue it in as well if you apply the glue carefully so as not to gum up the bearing. It should be tight enough to hold without glue, though.

The bracket clamps onto the frame using #6-32 flat head hex drive screws and the holes are sized for heat-set threaded brass inserts like the ones shown here: https://www.mcmaster.com/#93365a130/=1cs717s
