3D model description

My star wars legion storage system lets you fit 1 core set plus 1 extra trooper set, 1 extra ATRT, 2 extra single minis, and 1 extra set of dice into the core box. You could probably also fit 2 more trooper storage units in the box but I don't currently have that many troops.
Note that Vader, Luke, and 1 mini from the Rebel commandos are a little taller than the rest of the troopers. So TrooperStorage2R1 has cut outs so those three units will fit under it.

I used 10x2mm magnets since that is what I had. Also, I glued M5 x 2.6mm nuts under the units. I did not want to glue the magnets to the units because I had read about one person who had a problem with units repelling each other when the troopers were really close together on the table.

I have also uploaded a picture of a Popsicle stick with magnets glued on each side. One side labeled top and the other one bottom. I used this when gluing all of the magnets so I could keep the polarity straight and I thought others might find that idea useful.

New: I just added a tray for huge bases. It is designed to go on top of a 2x2 grid of the trooper storage units. That will let you hold 2 huge bases and 8 more small bases. If you have a 4x4 grid of trooper storage boxes, then you can print 2 huge base trays and get 5 huge bases and 16 small bases. The plate is large so I uploaded a version that is split into 2 that is the file called "HugeBases_2up.stl"

Update 2018/11/29: Added Release 2 of the ATRT storage. This version is the same height as two stacked trooper storage units. This way it will fit correctly under the huge base plates.

Edit: Added some pictures. Once you outgrow the core box, these also fit well in the plastic containers from costco.
