3D model description

This is a brooch of "Oniyanma," the largest dragonfly in Japan. For ease of use as a brooch, it has no legs.

This year, oniyamma brooches have become popular in Japan, coinciding with the outdoor boom.

The onyanma is - although its population has recently been declining as it nears extinction - the largest carnivorous insect in Japan. It is said that other insects that see the onyanma will not approach it because they think they will be preyed upon.
That includes many pests, and even mosquitoes.

There are various videos verifying how effective onyanma brooches are, but none of them seem to be conclusive.

At any rate, making and wearing a large dragonfly brooch is a lot of fun.
