3D model description

In the good old days, the shields on 28mm minis didn't come with a pre-made symbol sculpted onto them - you had to paint any heraldry on yourself, to match your army's head-canon. Their only features were a studded boss and a 2.8mm hole that might match a peg on some figures' arms. That's if you were lucky - if you weren't lucky you had to borrow one of your dad's drill bits, or hold it on with a blob of blu-tack.

And of course they're all "vintage" now. People on ebay want Β£5 for unused 1980s plastic shields that cost the games workshops a penny to made. I wish I'd ordered a carrier-bag full.

The Kinky Chaosette (or 'Amazonia Gothique') that was given away free on White Dwarf #79 had an obscure shield that never turns up on half-used sprues from Warhammer Armies boxes.

3D printing settings

TESTED - 22/08/2023 - it's too small. Try increasing the size by 10% or 25%. I'll update the file once I know.

Tested - 30/08/2023 - have increased the size and re-uploaded
