GM's 700R4 automatic transmission was the replacement for the popular but dated TH350. Starting in 1982, the 700R4 is considered to be one of the best overdrive transmissions available to date. Unlike its' predecessor, the 700R4 came with 4 gears (Overdrive), instead of 3, making it better suited for highway cruising. In 1990, this transmission got rebranded as the 4L60. Now, you can add one of the best automatic transmissions into any model build! This design features a separate oil pan, with 5 different options of oil pans! Choose from Stock, Deep, Ribbed, Finned, and Performance (Deep, MOROSO).
