3D model description

I played through Skyward Sword recently and decided that I wanted a life size master sword to hang on my wall. I noticed that in SS the master sword is massive on Link's back, and after investigating other people's models of the master sword I decided that I would need to make my own to get a master sword that is the proper size. I used in-game images and the model created by Chaos Core Tech (which is beautiful and free on Cults) to create my own master sword from scratch. At ~51.5 in. (~1308mm) it is scaled to fit a 6' person the same way it is seen to fit Link in game.

Notable differences from other Master Swords:
- The handle has an elliptical cross section to help with indexing the blade
- The giant cone at the top of the handle has been downsized to free up space near the hand
- The ricasso is made in a simpler manner than Chaos Core Tech's, to reflect the style shown in SS
- The width of the blade tapers toward the tip like a real sword would

I put a hole through the length of the sword so that a 0.5 in (12.7mm) dowel rod can be used to give the entire structure strength. I haven't printed this yet, I plan to use an oak dowel.

Unlike my previous models, I used IPS dimensions (inch, pound, second). Unless you want a model that's 51.5mm long, you will need to have your slicer set to inches.
