Air Goku What If Mash-Up Dragon Ball Z Michael Jordan Wall Art + Stencil

We've got some serious anime fans in this family, as well as some die-hard devotees of Michael "Air" Jordan, and all that his awesome represents (the game, the shoes, the man himself). Everyone loves a good What If mash-up, so this one just seemed natural.

Here we have Goku (a.k.a. Kakarot), from the long-running Dragon Ball Z anime series, flying high like the great Michael Jordan himself, taking a dragonball to the rim!

Air Goku is a two-part model that comes in three sizes for a grand total of 6 STL files. they include:

Choose the file(s) to print based on your 3D printer's bed volume and/or personal needs.

AIR GOKU WALLART
We're all familiar with wall hanging art. Print it, hang it, admire it forever. The Air Goku (a.k.a. Kakarot) silhouette is designed with a straight line across the top of the letters for two reasons. 1) It makes all the letters connect, therefore making it a 3D Printable work of art. 2) It makes it really easy to hand on the wall! Simply place two small screws, nails, or clear tacks in the wall and hang it.

AIR GOKU STENCIL
These files are so much fun, because you can do so many things with them! We used the Air Goku stencil file to make DIY tye-dye and bleach stained t-shirts (see images above).

For bleach staining, we used about a 3:1 ratio of 3 parts chlorine bleach, 1 part water. I don't recommend pure bleach as it may start to eat through the material before you can rinse it. If you have kids working with it, I would recommend tye-dye colors instead, or a higher ratio of water to bleach. And adult supervision is a must!

Each stencil has a small 8mm Grab-Tab that prints in the center of Goku's chest. This is so that you can easily lift the stencil from the surface of whatever you're dying, bleaching or painting.

The recommended settings very by which model you're printing - the wall art or the stencil. The size model you choose to print is irrelevant to slicer settings, as they are equal in height (Z).

AirGoku - Stencil
It is important that the recommended layer height settings are followed for the stencils, especially. The stencil portion of the model (excluding the grab-tab) is only 0.48mm thick. The tab makes up the other 8mm. Being ultra-thin is important for the integrity and functionality of the stencil.

A layer height + initial layer height of 0.16 ensures the stencil is printed in 3 layers. If anything, you can decrease layers to 0.12 height for a 4-layer stencil, but this will, of course, slow down the overall print time.
