3D model description

Housing for the common MAX7219 module.

Enclosures from a length of 2 modules (64x8) can be realized with the data.

One extension piece and 1 connector are used per additional 4 modules.

There is a separate area in the housing to store the electronics (usually an ESP8266) in a short-circuit-proof manner.

The housing is designed for a Plexiglas cover (usually translucent red) with a thickness of 3 mm and a width of 45 mm.

Inner width of the housing for dot matrix 262mm - if you need other widths please let us know.

Unfortunately there are different widths for the MAX7219 modules - please measure before printing.

3D printing settings

Layer thickness generally 0.2mm - 0.3mm.

With a suitable slicer, the first 8mm of the end pieces can be made finer so that the rounding in the corner of the panel is nicer.

All parts except the extension can be built without supports.

The extension requires supports on the first 30mm.
