3D model description

Both visor clips in my 2000 Dodge Intrepid broke awhile back so I designed me some.

Currently in my car I have one TPU and one NylonX model with the Base. PLA did not work well for me. It either cracked no matter how solid or in what orientation I printed the model, or got soft and stretched out. PETG did ok and produced some neat results. It needs several walls though to be durable..

I don't know the exact interchange with all the LH cars or years but I suspect it may work for 95-04. It is NOT an exact copy of the factory design. I wanted the clip part to be as thick as possible so it would break less often.

The TPU model has tighter tolerances since TPU is flexible.

3D printing settings

For the ones I really used, I printed at .2 or .28 layer height and with a lot of walls so the clip part was near solid.

I have always printed it with the base (for no good reason?) and usually angled some strange way or other to get the longest layer lines possible through the clip part.
