3D model description

Introducing the "My Hero Academia LED Lamp" 3D model, a tribute to the popular anime "My Hero Academia" featuring the iconic logo.

But here's where it gets exciting: the package also includes a 3MF file that's AMS ready. What does that mean for you? Well, it means you can print this model with ease.

For those without an Automatic Material Switching (AMS) setup. Just head over to YouTube and search for the "samelayer" method, and you'll discover a fantastic printing technique.

With the samelayer method, you'll print the first color/STL as you normally would. Then, for the subsequent colors, simply disable bed leveling in the startup G-code and add a 1 mm Z hop. This nifty trick enables the nozzle to gracefully hop over the colors already printed. Start with the lightest color and finish with black for the best results.

The model you see in the pictures was printed using a Bambu Labs P1P, and no AMS was required. You have the option to keep it as is with the front and back plates, or you can elevate it into a vibrant LED lamp.

To transform it into a lamp, follow these pro tips:

Acquire an addressable RGB LED strip, preferably one with a user-friendly app for convenient light control.
Carefully attach the RGB strip to the interior walls of the model. Ensure it's not too close to the colored sections to allow for proper light diffusion.
Enhance color diffusion by adding aluminum tape to the inside of the back plate.
Create a hole on the side to allow the end of the RGB cable to pass through.
Secure the back plate with glue, and voilΓ , you have your very own LED lamp.

Disclaimer: Please be aware that this model is best suited for those with 3D printing experience or access to an Automatic Material Switching (AMS) setup, which greatly simplifies the printing process. If you're new to 3D printing, I recommend familiarizing yourself with advanced printing techniques, equipment, and gcode knowledge before attempting this project.
