3D model description

Hello everybody,

INTRODUCTION :

This is an unfinished model of the F8L Falco, an italian sport plane.
As an amateur aircraft builder, I've modeled if from hand-drawed blueprints in plan to built it one day. The airframe is near to completion, with only missing empennage, control surfaces and skinning. I will add assemblies bits by bits when it will be modeled.

3D PRINTING :

First, to make it potentially printable I merged each sub-assembly to make bigger parts. Then I reduced size to 1:10 to fit these parts in yours printers (you may have to reduce them more again).
On today's date, models are not very optimized to 3D printing because of tiny details, very thin skins... I'll solve these problems gradually when I will seriously start printing it.
It's a wood plane, so try some wood-like filament to make it realistic.

ASSEMBLY :

I suggest you to search and download F8L falco plueprints to figure better how the plane is made. You will aknowledge distances, sequences between sections and wing stations.

COPYRIGHT, LICENCE, COMMERCIAL USE :

The F8L Falco brand, his design belong to Stelio Frati the engineer who draw it.
Since he has passed away in 2010 I unfortunately cannot ask him his permission. As an aeronautical designer I'm a hughe admirer of his work, and I think sharing a model of his design is a great way to honor him. If someone related to Stelio Frati want me to retire this model, I will oblige.

However, all the work due to 3D modeling it belong to me. I took near two years to model what you see, in every detail

If you want to print it and show it proudly, fine (and thanks for the try).

If you want to modify it, do as you please but do not exceed the actual licence (mention me, do not sell it and try to do a good job please).

If you want to sell it, the answer is NO. This is why :
I do not picture anybody selling it fully built, when the plane will be fully available it will be too much work for a real profit. But if it's your intention, surprise me and contact me!
I can only picture peoples lazily printing parts and selling kits to reals, enthusiats model makers. But it's a unfair way to make money so I don't allow commercial use. Final.
