3D model description

Well, this is my final version. All I want to add is a cover for the wiring at the top Z mount.

IĀ“ve added Z axis parts as well, because they are needed to add this cable chain.

Tevo Tarantula is my first printer, and IĀ“m in love with it, but it certainly needs improvements here and there. So, to get rid of the cable mess.

ItĀ“s for 10x20 mm chain. IĀ“ve decided to buy a chain instead of making it for weight, elasticity and time reasons.

Some comments about the parts:

X-carriage cable chain: It has a hole to front load the wires, and attach to original x-carriage screws. It includes now points to attach wires with zip ties. Just print it in 0.3 mm layers, and 1.2 mm walls. IĀ“ve used supports, and didnĀ“t try without. Printed this now in PLA, and it was hard to remove some supports. PETG or ABS are easier to remove supports.

Z rod top bracket: It was designed to attach the top of the chain. I needed to offset the z axis a little more so the chain would fit. IĀ“ve left an open part to allow me to route the wiring thru aluminum frame, what IĀ“ll do next. There is just a cover missing but itĀ“s usable, and you can design one if you want. Printed with 0.3 mm with supports and 1.2 mm walls. Printed this in PETG, so supports were easier to remove.

Z rod bottom bracket: Made a reinforced version for better precision, and to correct the offset from top Z bracket. Printed this in PETG, with 0.3 mm and 1.2mm walls. IĀ“ve used support on holes, but donĀ“t think itĀ“s necessary.

Printed another chain adapter for theY axis heated bed, that can be found here.

This is the chain used.

IĀ“ve removed the old designs, but will keep it in my computer. If anyone wants it, just ask.
